I’m Mike Campbell – you can call me Mike, and this is my site – Unleash Your Alpha – and it exists to take the confusion out of what it means to be a strong, healthy and well rounded man in today’s society. This site (and me) is here to help you get in the best shape of your life, not just physically, but in all areas. To help you unleash your alpha – helping you start living a life that you truly love.

Let me break it down a bit more as to why this exists and what it can do you YOU…

You see, as men we’ve lost our way:

  • We’ve become overweight, unhealthy and soft.
  • We’ve lost our identity as men. Confidence is low and we’re losing respect and enjoyment at work and home. Because of this we’re seeing conditions like anxiety and depression soar.
  • Ego creates a false alpha of macho and bravado, hiding low self worth and weak foundations that also prevent us from admitting to problems, even obvious ones such as weight gain.
  • Then if we do decide to change, we’re completely overwhelmed by a massive variety of often conflicting information- it’s confusion!
  • All of this has given rise to what I call the ‘Anti-Alpha’ – the opposite of being a true man.

This true man historically – our alpha – was simply one who led. A man who knows himself, has confidence and can stand up what for what he believes in, whilst still being empathetic and an ear to console when necessary. He has compassion and heart while also being strong willed with integrity.

To realise your true potential as a real masculine leader in our society; curious, open minded, robustly healthy, compassionately decisive, good will and a generous leader.

I’m Mike, and I’m a bit weird.

I like to ponder the simplest and most complex of things. I’ll vacantly question how the tides work, look at the moon in wonder at the universe, wake up and think “How weird is sleeping?!” and approach my own life with the same curiosity.

I’m a strong minded and strong willed person. I have many things upon which I will go into battle for, so to speak, but am open minded and willing to back down, admit defeat and look at something from a different perspective. Yet by nature I’m very stubborn and impatient.

I’m a naturally curious and observant person and will often withdraw into myself to figure things out. I’m logical and rational, while also not being married to any particular dogma.

I’m considered, steady and consistent. I’m honest and hold integrity and authenticity to be high values. I’m loyal, loving, considerate and passionate when the subject hits me.

I value my health and my freedom – of mind and experience.

I find strong resonance at the interaction of simplicity and performance.

I’m naturally shy around new people and situations and may take some warming to, but once you’re in, you’re in. However, I also endeavour to grow and challenge myself, so constantly push my natural limits on this.

I’m a little weird and different and take pride in being so. I don’t really like to conform and have always had a penchant for making my own path in life. I believe everyone should embrace their own eccentricities, that’s what makes us fascinating.

I have a passion for fighting the mediocrity that is so widely accepted all around us.

I love to cook, eat and talk to my food. I love (my) Nardia, my family, stone fruit, cold beer, red wine, caramel icecream and to think of myself as a low level Batman. I like to lift heavy things, eat meat and spend time with the people that matter most to me.


Having started my professional ‘career’ many years ago as a Personal Trainer, I know can only consider myself a man coach: I help men become their own perfect mix of James Bond, nelson Mandela and …. BATMAN!

I’m also the author of Amazon bestseller Unleash Your Alpha, and self proclaimed geek-meathead hybrid.

When I started working with men  nearly 10 years ago, I didn’t envisage coming across the same issues day in and day out, however, I did, and constantly have; overweight, tired, lost, stuck and frustrated.

Now I focus on solving these problems for men through my Beast-Gentleman-Legend Coaching Program and my in person workshops: The Chemistry of Masculine Attraction – become the beast & gentleman that women desire and men respect.

I am incredibly passionate about helping men break free of the ‘Mediocre-Man Treadmill’ and realise their potential.

I haven’t been the 150kg guy, overweight and massively unhealthy, but I have been lost, floating through life with no real ambition or direction. I’ve had a transformation in my life to one that I truly love, that brings me happiness and true contentment.

I want to help YOU achieve this for yourself.

You’ll find my advice to be uncomplicated and immediately actionable. I believe strongly in making things easy to follow and implement and cutting out the confusing noise and misinformation.

    Hey Mike, my name is Cody Simms. I stumbled across your website through a google search about unleashing your alpha. As I was browsing the site and reading your backstory it was almost as if I was reading about myself in a way, or at least the version of myself I’ve always known I could be and aspired to become. I feel as if I stumbled upon your site for a reason. You see, I also am studying to get my certification in personal training from NASM at the moment. So, as you can imagine, I’ve done my fair share of research on different programs, diets, and training strategies; but I have never came across anything such as your in depth philosophies on being a man or “becoming” a man. I am seriously interested in learning from you and would love the opportunity to do so. Just in case you were wondering the reason behind my interest in fitness and nutrition, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at the age of 14. At one point I was a sickly 86 pounds. A few years ago, I was a scrawny 123 pounds and was sick of being reminded of how small I was so I decided to go to the gym and gain weight. Now, I am 160 pounds and much healthier looking, but I still have a long way to go and a lot more to learn.
